for storm forecast of 10 inches of snow +. The National Weather Service
said temperatures will stay low with colder wind chills as the Alberta
clipper low-pressure system blusters its way northeast toward New
England, hugging the Atlantic coast and picking up moisture and strength
as it moves north, the weather service said.
"It initially looked like it was going to be a
run-of-the-mill clipper system, but over the past 48 hours the trends
indicate that it will be a much stronger system than we anticipated,"
weather service meteorologist Mitchell Gaines told the (Newark, N.J.)
Star-Ledger.
