George P. Bush files [PHOTO] paperwork in Texas to run for office. His filing
makes him the latest in the Bush clan to seek political office.
George P. Bush is the nephew of former President George W. Bush and son of
Jeb Bush, the one-time governor of Florida.
As first
reported by The New Republic, Bush filed what is called an “appointment of a
campaign treasurer by a candidate” form, which Texas Ethics Commission general
Counsel Tim Sorrells said is required of someone who is a candidate.
Bush, who has a Mexican mother, can speak fluent Spanish and is the co-founder
of Hispanic Republicans of Texas, a group that helps elect Hispanic candidates. Go here to read more and see a photo.
